How to Generate and Clone a Voice With ElevenLabs (One of The Most Realistic AI Voice Generator)

 

ElevenLabs is one of the most advanced neural networks that allows you to create unique, realistic voices or clone your own. With it, you don't need to spend hours recording a podcast or creating sound effects and voiceovers for an audiobook. 

The innovative service will turn text into emotional and natural speech or translate audio into another language in a few minutes. In this article, we'll tell you how to create professional audio content in ElevenLabs without any effort.

ElevenLabs neural network capabilities

Voices text in different languages. The service library has hundreds of voices for voiceovers. 

Changes the voice in audio. Re-voice downloaded recordings with voices available in the library. 

Generates voices. In the neural network, you can create unique voices based on the description and use them in the content. You can earn money on the created voices if you place them in the library for public use - the service awards rewards to the authors of the most popular voices. 

Clones voices. You record your voice, and the neural network develops a clone. Then, you can voice various texts with your own voice. (The function is available in the paid version.)

Generates sound effects based on description. The service creates four sound options for one request in the "Sound Effects" section. 

Voices books and texts longer than 5 thousand characters. Moreover, you can choose different voices for one document; for example, give each character in the book a unique voice. The function is available with the Creator subscription.

Removes extraneous noise from audio. The neural network accurately identifies unnecessary sounds, even from conversations with others, and removes them from the recording.

How to use ElevenLabs

Go to the service website and click "Get started for free". 

You can try the service without registration by scrolling down the main screen. There will be a window with the primary function.

 You can voice text, upload audio to change the voice, translate the recording, ride, or create sound effects. There is also a "voice clone" function, but you won't be able to use it—you can only listen to other people's voices. 

Without registration, you can only voice 100 text characters and not download

 the generated recordings.

Register for the service via a Google account or by email. In the second case, you will need to confirm your email address. Then answer a few questions from the AI: what is your name, what will you use ElevenLabs for, and where did you learn about the neural network?

 A minute of the survey and the service's main screen will open. 

The platform interface is entirely in English, but the neural network understands text in Russian and pronounces it correctly. The only thing is that prompts for sound effects must be written in English.

On the side are all ElevenLabs tools and profile settings. You can also see how many credits you have left for generations here. 

Click on the nickname to access OK at the account nickname. Here, you can change the password, get an API key for integration with other services, join the service's affiliate program, create an additional account to earn money on your votes, and analyze sales. 

The menu also contains instructions for all neural network functions and tools. When ElevenLabs releases updates, guides with English video instructions will immediately appear.

The Voices library of voice models contains hundreds of voices for different tasks. Voices can be sorted by the types of content they are suitable for, such as voicing books, articles, 

or conversations. Click on the slider icon to open additional filters.

You can search for voices by gender, age, quality, language, and accent using the filters. 

Now, let's study the leading platforms available for free and on the "Starter" tariff. We discussed them in more detail in the service capabilities, and now we will show you how to use them.

"Text to Speech" (Text to audio conversion). The function is located in the "Speech" section. It is easy to work with: insert text up to 5 thousand characters, select a voice for the voiceover, and click "Generate speech."

Depending on the volume of text, you will be charged credits.

In the settings, check that you are using the latest models: the advanced "Eleven Multilingual v 2" or the fast "Eleven Turbo v 2.5". 

Set voice parameters:

• Set the stability for your voice: the higher the value, the more reserved and calm your voice will sound. Low stability adds a free intonation and pronunciation to your voice. 
• Similarity refers to how close the selected voice will be to its original sound. 
• Style Exaggeration is responsible for the voice's degree of expressiveness and emotionality.
• "Speaker Boost" makes your voice louder. 

To reset the settings, click "Reset".

Finished audios appear at the bottom of the screen and in the generation history. Click the download icon next to the audio to download.

"Speech to Speech" (Voice change). The function works similarly; instead of text, you upload or record audio and click "Generate speech." To listen to your recording, click "Play" to delete - the trash icon.

" Sound Effects". In English, describe the sound you want to get and click "Generate Sound Effects." The neural network will generate four options for 200 quotas. Under the input field, there are ready-made prompts for some effects.

Then, the "Explore" has more ready-made prompts. The library contains sounds of animals, mechanical sms, and musical instruments.

"Dubbing studio" (Translation). Upload a video or an audio file up to 500 MB and up to 45 minutes long, paste a link from any resources provided, give it a name, and select the translation language. Once you've set everything up, click "Create". The translation file will appear at the bottom of the screen. 

"Voice Isolator" (Remove background noise). Upload or record audio up to 500 MB and click "Isolate voice".

Recently, the neural net added " Voiceover Studio" (Video and audio edit). Here, you can upload a file up to 500 MB and up to 45 minutes long, then add sound effects and voiceovers.

The tool is currently in beta, so it works intermittently. For example, the free version is available, but it does not want to open uploaded videos in the editor.

How to generate a voice

In the "Voices" section, select "Add a new voice".

Next, click on "Voice Design".

Select gender, age, accent, and how much of this accent is present in the voice. English voice can be generated, so there are five accents to choose from: English, American, Australian, African, and Indian. 

Enter a phrase for voice training, and the model will pronounce it. Then click "Generate" and listen to the voice. If you like everything, click "Use Voice".

Give your created voice a name, add a description and characteristics, such as accent or age. Click "Create Voice".

The model will appear in the "Voices" section of the list of your voices. You can share it with others via a link or ID.

To do this, click on the voice and then, in the side panel, select the ID or icon next to it. In the second case, a plate will open, and you must switch "Sharing" to "On" mode. 

Then, turn on the "Sharing" mode again. You cannot place the generated voice in the library for other users - the option is only available for cloned.
